The scope of activities includes:

• Varying deployments at private and business customers at different locations
• Delivery, assembly and disassembly of kitchens and furniture
• Connection of electrical appliances and plumbing connections
• Instructing the customers on how to use the appliances
• Woodworking as well as the adaptation of kitchens and furniture to personal needs
• Accepting complaints
• Dealing with tools, auxiliary devices and packaging materials

The training to become a specialist for furniture, kitchen and moving services has existed since 2006. FMKU is a recognised occupation requiring formal training according to the Vocational Training Act. It is a so-called profession in the dual education system, i.e. part of the time is spent at the company, part of it in school. The training lasts three years and is wrapped up with an exam at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

The scope of activities includes:

• Planning of routes and deployments
• Customer consultancy, bid calculation and complaint acceptance
• Proper handling of customs documents
• Correspondence and communication with business partners around the world
• Determination of costs and revenues
• Commercial management

Management assistant (f/m) for shipping and logistics services is a profession in the dual education system, i.e. part of the time is spent at the company, part of it in school. The training usually lasts three years (reductions on the basis of academic degrees or above-average training achievements are possible) and is wrapped up with an exam at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Beginning of training: August 2018

Requirement:

• At a minimum, good advanced technical college entrance certificate
• College dropouts are welcome
• Class B driver’s licence is desirable but not required
